Austin Fashion Week coming soon

Austin Fashion Week 2011 will be filled with over 150 events from August 20-27. Following are the highlights:

Saturday, August 20: AUSTIN FASHION WEEK KickOff (Cowboy Harley Davidson Showroom). Expect a stunning runway show featuring local and national talent combined with Austin’s own Mash Up Teams (made up of a hair stylist, makeup artist, photographer, model and as many designers as it takes to complete the look). Fashion paired with live music, fantastic food and cosmic cocktails equals an amazing night out!
Sunday, August 21 through Friday, August 26: AUSTIN FASHION WEEK SHOWCASE EVENTS. Designers paired with local Retail and Salon locations. The best of the best of Texas-based designers will be selected to showcase their work throughout the city in gorgeous retail and salon spaces. The week will once again have a daily focus by neighborhood:
• Sunday, August 21: Midtown
• Monday, August 22: Downtown (aside from 2ND Street)
• Tuesday, August 23: West Austin Presented by the Hill Country Galleria
• Wednesday, August 24: South Austin
• Thursday, August 25: 2ND Street District
• Friday, August 26: North Austin
