Mr Lütfü Okman to head BASF Textile Chemicals Unit

BASF has appointed Mr. Lütfü Okman as Vice-President of Global Business Management, Textile Chemicals Unit, and member of the Global Management Team of the Performance Chemicals division. He succeeds Mr Janardhanan Ramanujalu, who had been leading the business unit since 2007.

Lütfü Okman (43) started his career with BASF in 2004 as Regional Sales Manager of BC Turkey, Middle East & North Africa for Leather and Textile in BASF Türk Ltd. after extensive work experience with multi-national companies. He has since assumed several key management positions within BASF, including in 2007 as Managing Director of a public company (75% owned by BASF) under BASF Coatings in Turkey.

Lütfü Okman holds a M.B.A. from the Canterbury Business School at the University of Kent (UK) and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Istanbul Technical University.
