Thanks to the Swiss Design Prize, coldblack, the textile finish developed by Schoeller Technologies and Clariant International has not only made it into the prestigious New York Times, it is also going to be “on the road” till April 2011 as part of an exhibit of outstanding design examples from Switzerland.

“Swiss Design generates added value”, says curator Heidi Wegener. “That’s why it’s so important to ensure that this discipline, in which Switzerland does so well, is given wide exposure.”

Stops on the tour include cities such as Berlin, Chicago, Geneva, Miami, San Francisco, Shanghai, Strasbourg, Tokyo and Vancouver. Currently, the valuable exhibits are on display at Shanghai World Expo. “The changing climate and the effects of exposure to direct sunlight are hot topics all over the world,” continues Wegener.
