Vicunha´s fabrics in Brazil Fashion Designers

Known for its versatility, Vicunha Textil’s denim shaped up some awesome male looks at Brazil Fashion Designers, a contest in which fashion students create their very own collections and show them in a fashion show. The event took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and was a huge success: all sits were taken and the crowd was looking forward to see what the next generation of designers is creating.

The 19-year-old fashion student Seika Yamada played with lots of colors, patterns and asymmetrical shapes in her collection, which was named “The Cell”. “Despite of the suffocation that affects the human body, there will always be freedom to create”, she says. Among Vicunha’s fabrics, Yamada used Bari –100% cotton twill and Haiti Plus – twill perfect for more elaborated articles; as well as Moore and Kidman.
Thiago Phelipe, who was also in the run for the big title, chose to use Bari, Lugano and Moore in his collection, “Outdoor Reliquary”. “Vicunha’s fabrics are amazing to work with, all very well-structured. I even chose not to apply any washes on them in order to keep the original colors and aspects”. His collection was very chic, with straight classic cuts combined to rounded modern details. As a result, the hype designer was placed in second out of ten and put his hands on a free license of the software Audaces Fashion Creare along with a couple thousand of dollars worth of credit.
