Dixcy, a well-known Tirupur based innerwear brand has launched a winterwear collection of it’s leather outwear brand; Higgins. Higgins was essentially launched as a summerwear brand and has a product portfolio ranging from loungers, track pant, t-shirts and polos, which targets the segment between three years to upper middle age.Providing details about the new initiative to fibre2fashion, Mr Raghul Sikka, Director of Dixcy Textiles said, “Dixcy Textiles has launched a thermal range in colors like white, dark mélange and grey mélange and will be sold through around the country in thousands of points of sale. We also plan to open exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) in a few years, but in a few months time, we will also be retailing through large format stores and multi-brand outlets (MBOs)”.
Speaking about the current performance of the textile industry, he informed, “We are just out of recession. As incomes are increasing, things are recovering currently and volumes are growing. So overall the textile industry is doing fine. Companies are mulling big expansion drives in the next financial year, so there will be lot of action”.
